Loonie = greenback: Who wins and loses
This business blog by Bradley Meacham for Cascadia Report discusses the recent parity of Canadian and US dollars, and raises many questions. Will this trend continue? Does it pull back US businesses from Canadian market?

This post on NowPublic posted by blueshoe discusses the latest proposal for solving Vancouver East side's drug problem.

Revenues vs. Profits

Lauren Bacon and Emira Mears are a pair of Vancouver-based entrepreneurs who are co-authoring a book on starting a business, tentatively titled Boss Lady, also the title of their blog. The feisty women also blog about small business development and women in the business world. Their latest post discusses the merits of measuring gross versus net as a measure of business success.

Are you planning to buy a condo at Mount Pleasant? The folks at the MtPleaseAunt blog offer a warning in their latest post and say you should think twice before buying into a strata, and listen to what others with more experience have to say.

The best way is to contact Manduke directly. He has taken a break from business due to a death in the family and is living at the family home on PEI presently. Try jemanduke@yahoo.com. This guy is one of the most brilliant and unknown/underrated small business gurus in the world, but he is extremely humble, is non-materialistic, and enjoys writing stories. He takes long sabbaticals and then reappears almost magically.
